A cool looking tenor banjo from the company that became Kay, this instrument features a black, grey, white and tan striped pearloid finish on the rim, resonator and headstock, with a unique multi-cut peghead shape and 11” skin head. It’s sold AS-IS (fill cracks in flange, reshape heel to lower action, repair 2 small cracks inside resonator by heel, replace tuner buttons, new bridge, setup, etc.). Period hardshell case included. This instrument is in very good-plus condition.

- Pot metal "diving bell" flange with circles and diamond pattern
- 11" skin head, 28 hooks, grooved tension hoop
- "GROVER PATENT" Presto tailpiece
- "PAGE PATENT" / E/ 1710802" tuners with ivoroid buttons
- Armrest
- Strung for Irish tenor tuning G,D,A,E (hard to tune with fragile tuner buttons)
- Period HSC (turquoise lining)
- Needs work fill cracks in flange, reshape heel to lower action,
- replace tuner buttons, repair two small interior cracks in resonator etc. - sold AS-IS)
- This plays ok when tuned up, tuner buttons are very fragile
