Experience the Elderly Difference

Why it's a tubaphonic, pearl emblazoned, and 100-and-3-years-young Vega banjo. The Vega Tubaphone #9 needs no introduction.  It is near the top of the Vega line. This openback banjo is made from a 1/2" maple rim and dowel stick, with 11-3/4" skin head. The neck is two pieces of maple, with carved heel, 3-layer wood purfling under fingerboard and headstock with 3-layer pearwood backstrap. The fingerboard is ebony, and painstakingly inlaid with Vega's No. 9 inlay pattern. Hardware includes notched tension hoop, tubaphone tone ring, Kerschner Unique tailpiece, and original friction tuners with pearl buttons. Original "Bulls Head" hardshell case included. Made in the USA.
