    The 4001 by 1978 had settled into its late-production configuration: dual Hi-Gain single-coil pickups, neck-through maple body with walnut center strip, bound rosewood fingerboard with shortened triangular celluloid inlays, white body binding, cast zinc tailpiece, and standard Ric-O-Sound stereo output.  Looks great in it's Autumnglo gloss finish.
