The Rickard 12" Dobson Openback Banjo has their Cyclone 10:1 tuning gears for remarkable tuning precision. All maple, it has a Dobson tone ring and narrow heel, of course. The aged brass hardware, along with the ebony  cap and tortoise binding on the rim are nice aesthetic touches. The ebony fingerboard has an s-scoop plus dot and star inlays.
