A beautiful newer neck on a vintage classic, this R.M. Anderson Tubaphone conversion features a 2-piece maple neck and an 10-15/16" maple pot. The vintage pot has tortoise plastic rim binding, and tubaphone tone ring, with a JD Balch hide head. The ivoroid bound fingerboard has mother-of-pearl engraved inlays as well as the ebony headstock overlay with the engraved Gryphon, star and scroll inlays. Newer No Knot-style tailpiece and Gotoh tuners. Comes with original Vega dowel stick and a Superior bump-style hardshell case (one broken latch). On consignment.
