Vintage-style features include a Sitka spruce Vintage Tone System (torrefied) top with herringbone trim, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction. The look is unlike anything in Martin's production line to date, with flamed maple binding, gold frets and open‐gear tuners, plus a '30s style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Modern features include liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots and a carbon fiber bridgeplate that boosts volume without adding weight. The new neck shape is designed for maximum hand comfort up and down the fretboard.
