From the late 1800s Boston Banjo boom, an L.B. Gatcomb Robinson Improved, Grade 2, in great form. Made from a 12" cast pot, with 30 brackets and l-shoes, and a grooved tension hoop. Fitted with the original mahogany neck and dowel stick, violin/friction tuning pegs, and original bone tailpiece. Appointments include fine pearl inlay, and pearwood peghead veneer. No case. Made in Boston, MA.
