James Hartel is a well-known builder of early minstrel banjo reproductions. Made in USA. This banjo is a replica of  Henry Stichter Fretless Minstrel Banjo, circa 1848, and features a 5/16 maple rim with 14" skin head, 7 brackets, l-shoes and nuts, tension hoop, maple neck and dowel stick, and rosewood tailpiece. Friction tuners in Minstrel style peghead.
