Albert Houdlett first appeared on the New York banjo making scene in 1865. This banjo is of very good quality and shares a lot of characteristics of other New York-made 19th century banjos. Snazzy engraved nickel silver plate after the 17th fret says “Albert Houdlett’s Royal Parlor Banjo”. Gigbag. Made in USA.

- German silver spun over thin wood rim
- ~11” rim and top frosted head
- ~26" scale
- 1-1/4" nut width
- Strong and straight mahogany neck with shim installed
- 17 fret ebony fingerboard with dot inlays
- Celluloid violin style tuners (could take steel strings if tuners are changed; most appropriate with gut or nylon)
- Nickel silver plate after the 17th fret says “Albert Houdlett’s Royal Parlor Banjo”
- Metal tailpiece similar to No Knot
