  • Celluloid violin style tuners (could take steel strings if tuners are changed; most appropriate with gut or nylon)
  • Nickel silver plate after the 17th fret says “Albert Houdlett’s Royal Parlor Banjo”

Albert Houdlett first appeared on the New York banjo making scene in 1865. This banjo is of very good quality and shares a lot of characteristics of other New York-made 19th century banjos. Snazzy engraved nickel silver plate after the 17th fret says “Albert Houdlett’s Royal Parlor Banjo”. Gigbag. Made in USA.

Condition Notes: Reset dowel stick to adjust neck angle. Also reseat, level and dress frets, file fret ends, replace head with skin(current plastic one won’t tighten), install new nut, bridge and nylon or gut strings, setup, etc (This item is sold As-Is)
