    Handmade in North Carolina by Chris Shelton, his Hook mandolins are known in the bluegrass world, though hard to find. This F-style mandolin has a spruce top with flamed maple back and sides, in a walnut toned gloss finish. Which contrasts nicely with the grained ivoroid binding. The bound ebony neck has abalone inlays, as does the bound headstock which also has gold cast geared tuners with pearloid buttons. Equipped with an ebony adjustable compensated bridge, and a gold Allen-style tailpiece. Includes hardshell case. Made in USA. On consignment.
