The SJ-200 began its life in 1937 as a custom request from Hollywood singing cowboy Ray Whitley, who wanted a flat-top with the size and presence of Gibson's grand archtops. Gibson delivered, and it has been one of the most recognizable acoustics in the world ever since. This 60s Original replicates the SJ-200 as it appeared during the decade when it could be found in the hands of Pete Townshend, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, and Jimmy Page, making it one of the most storied versions of an already legendary guitar. AAA figured maple back and sides, solid Sitka spruce top, the iconic Moustache bridge with mother-of-pearl inlays, and graduated crown fretboard inlays make this one of the most visually striking acoustics Gibson produces.
