First introduced in 1932, the L-00 has remained the most well-known and popular small-body acoustic model in Gibson’s illustrious history. The new L-00 Special is crafted by Gibson’s expert acoustic luthiers in Bozeman, Montana, and offers players a USA-built Gibson acoustic guitar at a very accessible price. The L-00 Special is constructed using genuine, solid mahogany for the back and sides and has a solid Sitka spruce top. The utile neck has a comfortable and fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile, and the rosewood fretboard is adorned with simple mother-of-pearl dot inlay. It is equipped with a TUSQ® saddle, nut and bridge pins. Smooth turning Grover® Mini Rotomatic® tuners ensure solid tuning stability. The L-00 Special is finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer. It comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs™ Element Bronze active under-saddle piezo pickup and active preamp with an easy-to-access soundhole-mounted volume control. Includes a premium softshell case.
