Gibson's flagship flat-top, the J-200 was known as the "King of the Flat-Tops" for good reason. This one from 1956 represents the model at its mid-century peak. It has a big, clear sound with open highs and deep bottom-range thanks to the Jumbo body. And stuns in a sunburst finish on the spruce top and figured maple sides and back. It has the iconic open moustache Brazilian rosewood bridge with four-piece pearl inlay. The double bound body is adorned with black and white purfling, multi-ring rosette, and the etched floral patterned brown celluloid pickguard. Classic appointments also include 2-piece flamed maple neck with it's dark center stripe and painted stinger. The fretboard is Brazilian rosewood and has pearl crown inlays. The bound headstock features the "Gibson" logo and crown inlays and is equipped with gold Kluson Deluxe tuners. Made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Includes Gibson branded Lifton hardshell case. On consignment.
