Introduced in the 1930s and recognized as the world's first commercially successful Electro-Spanish style electric guitar, the ES-150 was built in Kalamazoo with a solid carved spruce top with maple arched back and sides. Equipped with the bar-style pickup that Charlie Christian made famous, top also has Bakelite volume and tone control knobs, and has an adjustable bridge with hinged trapeze tail piece. This has been refinished to a glossy sunburst finish on body. Headstock has pearl script "Gibson" logo, and nickel open-gear Grover tuners. Vintage hardshell case. Made in Kalamazoo, MI USA. On consignment.
