The V400 is a complete, professional quality Despiau replacement bridge with a piezo-ceramic element embedded in it and wired to a standard 1/4" Carpenter jack, which attaches to the side of the viola. Bridge must be properly fit to the viola top, so professional installation is very, very highly recommended. These are passive pickups, so use with a preamp / EQ will greatly improve performance.
