This Whyte Laydie was made shortly before the Fairbanks factory fire and sale to Vega. The 10-15/16" tortoise plastic bound maple pot has a bracket band sporting 28 brackets. The two-piece maple neck has an ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard with engraved pearl position inlays. Headstock features the classic Gryphon inlay, along with star and floral inlays. Vintage-style hardware throughout includes Champion friction tuners, and a No Knot tailpiece. Includes modern hardshell case. Made in USA.

- Gryphon engraved pearl peghead inlay with star and floral inlay
- Heel is repaired with new wood and ebony heel cap added
- Ebony headstock overlay (dry damage, cracks, and repairs)
