Eric is the son of folk singer Leon Bibb, and nephew to John Lewis, part of the Modern Jazz Quartet. He got his first steel guitar at 7, and in 1970 began to focus on blues, especially pre-war blues. Between Grammy & Handy Award nominations, he has worked with Taj Mahal, Rory Block, Odetta and more. He's created a soulful folk-blues, melding a traditional rootsy American style with a subtle, contemporary sensibility. He performs and discusses his life and musical influences. 96 min.
