Experience the Elderly Difference

Dusty Strings has been handcrafting hammered dulcimers in Seattle, Washington since 1979. The D-500-N is a mid-sized chromatic dulcimer, providing a popular combination of portability, range, and tone. Designed in collaboration with Sam Rizzetta, the asymmetrical design places the treble bridge perpendicular to the strings. This 1989 example predates the switch to sapele and retains the original solid mahogany soundboard and back. Natural finish. Includes padded bag and stand. Made in USA.
