Released in 2015 to mark Deering's 40th year of banjo building in Spring Valley, California, the 40th Anniversary model is limited to 40 instruments worldwide, each numbered on the back of the peghead. The most distinctive feature is the patent-pending 3-ply white oak rim, which foregoes a traditional tone ring entirely. Features include a white oak neck, resonator, and truss rod cover personally signed by Greg Deering. And a AAA grade smokey ebony fingerboard, with engraved pearloid inlays, tortoiseshell plastic resonator binding, and commemorative inlay at the 22nd fret. Natural gloss finish. Deering hardshell case. Made in USA.
