A slide player's dream, this Reso-Volt is the result of years of expertise in resophonics and how to better amplify them. Hand-built by Elderly Instruments' repair shop chief and reso-guru Steve Olson, the Reso-Volt is a thin body resophonic guitar that utilizes an 8-1/4" aluminum cone with a Conetone "Electric Biscuit" pickup which successfully captures the sound coming off the cone itself. Olson combined this with a Stretchwinder Mud Slide humbucking (Alnico 5) pickup with separate volume control, and a Fishman Powerchip, a matching preamp, offering more flexibility and a wider range of available sounds.
