Equipped with a Fishman Aura VT pickup system, the Martin D-18E Modern Deluxe brings a new level of versatility to the innovative Modern Deluxe platform. This model is built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The pickup system has controls in the soundhole for easy access. Traditional touches include a tortoise plastic pickguard, an Old Style 18 multi-stripe soundhole rosette, and gold open gear tuners with butterbean buttons. Cutting edge features include a titanium truss rod, a maple/carbon fiber "sandwich" bridgeplate, and Liquid Metal bridgepins. The result is an ultra lightweight guitar with big dreadnought tone.
