Experience the Elderly Difference

This Gibson banjo traces its lineage back to two of old-time music's founding legends. One of only five banjos custom-built by Gibson for early Grand Ole Opry performer Uncle Dave Macon. He used three of them in his live act, each tuned differently, switching between them on stage at the Grand Ole Opry.  After Uncle Dave's passing, this banjo was sold directly by his son Dorris Macon to country music icon Grandpa Jones (Louis Marshall Jones) in the early 1960s, where it was treasured by the Jones family for decades.  Includes the original modified, period Geib & Shaefer hard shell case. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Grand Ole Opry history.
