Lenny San Jose, aka Ukulenny, is an ukulele performer and educator based in Oakland, CA. He started his ukulele career on public transportation and eventually grew his YouTube channel to over 76,000 subscribers. After spending five years in the classroom as a public school music teacher, he now performs and teaches workshops across the United States as a Kala Artist. An avid multi-instrumentalist, Lenny incorporates beatboxing, saxophone, U-Bass, and of course, the ukulele in his performances.

Currently, Lenny teaches free weekly workshops on zoom, and leads a flashmob with his students, releasing a new YouTube video every month. He is a regular collaborator with Cynthia Lin (who is now based in Hawaii), and has been doing livestreams from across the ocean since the beginning of the pandemic. They recently released their debut album “In Waves'' with Abe Lagrimas Jr. under the band name, U3.

This feature will have two sets of music, with a short intermission featuring a pre-recorded conversation with the artist and Elderly co-owner Stan Werbin.
