International Orders
We have found that the cheapest and most reliable way to ship instruments and other high value items is via FedEx International Priority service. FedEx is an international delivery company independent of the U.S. Postal Service. All goods are fully insured and will usually arrive within 3 to 5 business days of shipment.
FedEx will act as the customs broker, and you (the receiver of the goods) are responsible for all import duties and fees. You will be obligated to pay brokerage fees as well. The brokerage fee is included in the shipping costs as long as you keep FEDEX as the broker. If you choose another company to broker your package, you will be responsible for the brokerage fee from that company. Contact your local FedEx office or customs bureau for current duties and fees in your country.
You must provide us with a telephone or telefax number before any
order can be shipped with these services. (They will need to contact you to arrange delivery.)
Shipping Charges via FedEx International Priority
For rates, please contact us with your complete shipping address and postal code.
Insurance for Orders Over $300
An insurance surcharge of $0.95 per each $100 of value over $300 will be applied.
Small Goods
For small goods orders (not containing musical instruments or cases), our shopping cart will calculate rates for USPS (if the order qualifies), FIMS (FEDEX International Mail Shipment), and Fedex International Priority.
In Case of Shipping Damage
We check the conditions of all items before shipping. Damage in transit is very rare, but if the shipping box looks damaged, try not to accept it until the delivery person has indicated damage on the proper forms. (This is not essential, but it helps when making claims.) Then be sure to notify us immediately so we can initiate the claim. You must keep the box and all the packing material. Do not ship damaged merchandise back to us until we have authorized it.
