MARTIN D-45 (1941)MARTIN D-45 (1941) VGC+ except one repaired top crack on treble edge of lower bout (~3-1/2") and repaired standard pickguard crack, very rare and desirable (and not to be confused with the 1942 D-45 we had early last year), one of 91 prewar D-45's made, Brazilian rosewood sides and back, Adirondack spruce top, abalone inlay (trimmed on both sides with b-w-b wood trim) around top and all body edges, ivoroid-bound body and neck, ivoroid-b-w-bound headstock with block "C.F. MARTIN" logo inlaid in abalone, 1-11/16" nut width, ebony fretboard with abalone hexagonal inlays, tortoise plastic pickguard, gold Kluson tuners with oval metal buttons and interesting tuners (which we've never seen before but are so nice we think they may be original), otherwise appears all original except new repro bridge, maple bridge plate, and has been pro refretted, some finish touchup on top, finish wear on back, strap button installed on bass side of heel, great booming sound, on consignment, with OHSC (period case, and we think it is original - dark brown with light blue interior), price reduced (SN:77065)
