This Unger A-5 Artist Model mandolin is a beautifully crafted instrument that artist/maker/musician Doug Unger refers to as "a harmony in brown and black." It has a one-piece Engelmann spruce top, flamed maple back and sides, and a maple neck, all in a sunburst oil varnish finish. Elegant appointments include gorgeous engraved pearl fingerboard inlays, an ergonomically shaped and bent tortoise plastic pickguard, and a Hand cut German silver tailpiece.
