This banjo has a 50's Vega neck fitted to a 1924 Whyte Laydie No.2 pot assembly. It is playable, but needs much work to put it in ideal condition (heel screwed to rim, needs dowel reset, heat press/fill neck seam, repair binding, repair tuner, etc., etc., plays okay, sold AS-IS)

22 rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot markers (needs binding repair)
27" scale, 1-1/4" nut
28 hooks on bracket band (6 nuts and 4-5 hooks don't match)
Tension hoop
Original Dowel stick (needs reset), stamped "MADE BY | THE VEGA COMPANY | BOSTON, MASS. USA" "NO.2", patent numbers, stamped "62501", hot-stamped "WHYTE LAYDIE"
Friction tuners and 5th string tuner (5th string tuner installed poorly - needs repair)
