ABOUT THE MAKER:

Eiichi Sumi of Nagano, Japan, has been making musical instruments since the late 1970s. In 1986, he took over a small 4-person shop and started his own company. No web site is available. He is an old school builder and doesn't use the internet; he has enough orders to keep the shop busy without advertising. Sumi has built instruments for Larry Carlton, Ry Cooder, and many others.

This impressive concert ukulele is built of all solid Japanese Persimmon (Kurogaki). Exquisite appointments include maple binding, an abalone rosette and other inlay, and gorgeous inlay work on the fingerboard and headstock. Custom built in Japan by master craftsman Eiichi Sumi (see Details section below).
