A handsome mid-century instrument, this Recording King Model 954 Tenor Banjo has a maple neck and deep arched-back maple resonator with double white binding, both with a nice sunburst finish. Other details include an 11” skin head, single coordinator rod, and pancake tuners. The tailpiece cover and hooks are chrome-plated (maybe replated), and the rest of parts are nickel plated.
