  • The Martin Konter ukulele commemorates the Martin uke that traveled to the North Pole with "Ukulele Dick" (Richard Konter) and Admiral Richard Byrd's 1926 expedition. The signatures Konter collected from the expedition members and dignitaries — including President Calvin Coolidge, Secretary of the Navy Teddy Roosevelt Jr., and Amelia Earhart — are laser-engraved on the body. This special soprano ukulele features an all koa body, Pegheds tuning pegs (look like violin pegs, but are geared inside for smooth tuning), and an inside label that is a replica of the original.
