Samuel Kamaka patented his famous Pineapple ukulele in 1928.
This one bears a blue label inside that reads "KAMAKA / SPECIAL / PINEAPPLE / UKULELE / PAT. JAN, 3, 1928 / No. 74178 / Strictly / Handmade By / S. K. KAMAKA / MADE IN / HONOLULU / HAWAII". Also reads "HAWAII'S / FINEST / UKULELE". Pineapple body shape built in the Spanish style (neck with integrated heel that sides lock into and the fingerboard is flush with top). Rope top purfling and soundhole rosette. 12-fret fingerboard with purfling on edges and middle. NO CASE.
VGC, but needs work (glue and cleat 2 top cracks and one back crack, glue loose back brace, replace missing binding, etc. - sold AS-IS)
