J.B. Collin-Mezin Fils Violin
Made in France, this J.B. Collin-Mezin Fils violin has a label dated 1949. It’s a Le Victorieux Guarneri model with a one piece back of handsome medium width curl, shaded amber-orange varnish, and Brazilian rosewood pegs. It is fairly high arching on the top. It offers fairly rich, medium-dark tone. The neck and fingerboard are just a little more narrow than usual. This instrument has a repaired 2" treble side saddle crack on the top, but otherwise it’s in very good condition. American Case Co. oblong hardshell case and four nickel mounted bows included.
