  • Stars, slotted diamonds, metal shield and diamonds on 12th fret
  • ~10-7/8" skin head
  • Notched tension hoop (no cut-out at neck joint)
  • 32 brackets, dowel stick
  • No Knot Elite tailpiece
  • Metal peghead overlay and most of 1st fret
  • Friction tuners stamped "PATENTED 1 MAY 1888"
  • 1-9/32" nut, ~25-3/8" scale
  • Replaced 5th string peg (would benefit from plugging and re-drilling hole, but functional).
  • Neck brace / holder stamped "FRED GRETSCH / BROOKLYN / N.Y."
  • With rough tan canvas period SSC (case only functions to cover banjo)

A great looking late Victorian period banjo, this openback banjo is made with metal headstock overlays and some metal fretboard inlays, as well as some pearl inlays. It has a metal clad rim, and ~10-7/8" skin head. It’s listed AS-IS (See More Details below). A rough tan canvas case is included, but only function to cover the banjo. This openback banjo is in very good condition.
