Robert Glier (1899)
Made in Cincinnati, Ohio, 1899, by one of the best early U.S. violin makers, Strad model, one piece back of strong medium width curl, red varnish, repair label from H. Schwakopf , 1915, several repaired top cracks including a soundpost cracked, most have been cleated and all are solid but the soundpost crack does not have a soundpost patch, we are pricing this so that someone could afford to have a good deal of work done and be ok with the total money invested, peg holes bushed with new pegs, slightly low neck angle, has a great fairly deep rich tone, G-VGC, with Lifton double violin case
A great setup can make a world of difference. This instrument has been thoroughly inspected and expertly set up to play comfortably and sound its best.
