Gloss finish on stained neck. We believe the 5-string conversion neck was made by Tom George of Tennessee, made of a two-piece flamed maple with a dark center strip and peghead overlay. Appointed with a binding on the ebony fretboard, pearl dot inlays, and possibly re-used headstock inlays in the 'moccasin' styled peghead. Newer modern tuners, otherwise hardware appears original. The vintage pot features wire armrest, grooved tension hoop, engraved tailpiece, tubular flange, simple holed tube tone ring on (non-spring) ball-bearings. Includes hard shell case.
