Originally called the L-9S, in ‘74 Gibson changed the name to the Ripper, and Gene Simmons used it as his “weapon of choice”. This solid body electric bass has a maple body and set neck, maple fretboard with dot markers and 20 frets. It’s loaded with two humbucking pickups and a 2 band passive EQ, with 4-way rotary switch.
