a very cool, good-sounding, and hard-to-find banjo, this Gibson RB-00 from 1939 is a rare model with original sunburst maple 5-string neck and pre-war hardware. It has a sunburst single-bound maple resonator, 15/32" maple rim, one-piece flange, and 11” frosted head. Other features include railroad spikes on frets 7 through 10, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, and unusual Kluson round-pan geared tuners with amber buttons.
