Gibson Earl Scruggs Model (c.1988)
A nice resonator banjo, this Gibson Earl Scruggs has a dark gloss amber sunburst finish on a flamed maple neck and double w-b-w-bound resonator. It has a 3-ply maple rim, bound ebony fretboard with pearl hearts and flowers inlay pattern and “MASTERTONE” block inlay on the 21st fret. It has an 11” frosted top head 1 piece flange, flathead tone ring, and Presto tailpiece. Other features include a double cut peghead, geared tunes and 5th string peg, 2 D-tuners marked "THE GIBSON BANJO TUNER". The label is signed by Earl, and it is #1244 of about 1984 built.
