    A nice mandolin from the early 20th century, this Gibson A-2 model features a carved spruce top with Sheraton brown finish and an oval soundhole. It also has birch sides, 2-piece birch back, and a 2-piece mahogany neck with a bound ebony fingerboard. Nice chimey sound (small gap at heel, pickguard unattached, repaired cracks, etc., - sold AS-IS plays well)

  • 2 piece mahogany neck with walnut center stripe (neck joint has small gap at heel)
  • Bound flat ebony fretboard with dot inlays
  • 20 frets
  • Replacement adjustable rosewood bridge
  • Headstock overlay features logo inlay
  • 4-on-a-plate tuners with ivoroid buttons
  • Replacement raised tortoise plastic pickguard (not attached, but easily reattached AND it covers the nasty looking cracks below it)
  • 1-1/4" nut, 14" scale
  • Logo impressed on original tailpiece cover
  • Period HSC (lavender felt lining)
