Garrett Brink (1937)
Very fine work from noted Grand Rapids maker Garrett Brink, 1937, it is his usual Strad outline and f-holes but has an unusual arching reminiscent of the Stainer models made in Germany in the early 20th century, one piece slab cut back of Michigan maple showing handsome medium curl, shaded red oil varnish, very rich resonant tone that is medium-bright, two glued f-hole wing cracks, G-VGC, with probably original shaped Bulls Head leather HSC that is still in very good condition, on consignment
A great setup can make a world of difference. This instrument has been thoroughly inspected and expertly set up to play comfortably and sound its best.
