Franz Joseph Haydn - Three Sonatas
arranged for guitar by Alberto Mariani
Much taken with a Matiegka sonata which drew heavily upon Haydn's piano sonata "Hoboken XVI:32," Mariani set out to transcribe three of Haydn's sonatas for the classical guitar. In translating the original piano works to the six-string guitar, Mariani has made some concessions in order to bring them to the instrument's range and intrinsic constraints. His arrangements are as faithful as possible, and are set in the original keys. Includes Hoboken XVI:24, XVI:32, and XVI:40.
