From just prior to the 20th century, this ornate bowlback mandolin was built by A.C. Fairbanks in Boston, USA. Features include bent spruce top, 19 Brazilian rosewood ribs, mahogany neck, 17 fret bound ebony flat fingerboard with extension and point, 4-on-a-side tuners with metal covers and ivoroid buttons.
