Deering Sierra Maple Custom #100,000 (2014)
$5,250 $6,000sku: 70U-203329
In 2014, Deering Banjos built their 100,000th instrument and presented it to Elderly Instruments, because we were their first banjo dealer (back in the mid-1970's) and have been one of their biggest dealers ever since. It has a satin dark stained red maple neck and resonator, ebony fingerboard with fancy pearl inlays, maple rim, Deering --06-- bell bronze tone ring, and lovely chrome engraved hardware. The armrest is engraved "100,000th", and the interior of the resonator is signed by the Deering employees who helped build it. This banjo was auctioned in 2017 to benefit the IBMA Bluegrass Trust Fund. It includes the original Ameritage hardshell case (brown Western tolex exterior and green interior) and a maple presentation plaque. A unique and great-sounding piece of Deering history, this instrument is in excellent++ condition. Consignment. Check the "Video" tab below to see banjo phenom Jens Kruger playing and describing it.
