David Tehler Label
Appears to be a Mittenwald violin, circa 1850-60, flat arched Strad model bearing a David Tehler (sic) label, one piece back of flamed maple, dark red varnish, is set up and plays fairly well, Helicore strings with a nice darker tone, basically solid although many of the repairs were not done as well as they could have been, i.e., back button (repaired but not doubled), several rib cracks, a few top cracks, etc. Again, all have been repaired but not quite as nice as could be, sold in AS-IS condiiton, G-VGC, with shaped case
