The arts, music and movies were popular entertainment. The Silverbell tone ring provides a bright projecting tone and lots of clarity. Excellent construction and beautiful appointments helped make Fred Bacon and Daniel Day's banjos very popular. Built in the U.S.A. With gigbag. VGC+ except (would benefit from a dowel stick reset, fretwork, etc. - plays okay - sold AS-IS).

  • Sunburst pearloid laminate on back of resonator with etched rings
  • Integral f-hole flange
  • 1/2" maple rim with pearloid covering
  • Black-bound 19-fret etched pearloid fingerboard
  •  Shim at end of fingerboard
  • "B&D / Sultana / I / Silver/ Bell" etched on peghead overlay
  • Fancy etched pearloid on peghead underlay
  • Newer replacement Plantary-style tuners with ivoroid buttons
  •  11" 5-Star plastic head installed
  • Silver Bell tone ring
  • Notched tension hoop
  • 24 L-Shaped brackets and hooks
  • Oettinger tailpiece (two changed adjustment screws)
  • 1-1/8" nut, ~22-3/4" scale
