Sugar trebles and treated silvered copper basses. Aquila Sugar strings are made using a recently discovered plastic material derived from sugarcane. The material is very clear and transparent, similar to crystal-glass, with a sound that's brilliant, clean and prompt. They have excellent tone whether you're playing near the bridge or over the soundhole, with excellent sustain and projection. Although the surface is smooth, the grip on the fingers is remarkable. The basses are made of silvered copper treated against early oxidation.
