Kumalae Koa Soprano Ukulele (c.1920)

EC-, one small repaired top crack, natural finish has been cleaned and "french polished" to a medium gloss, all figured koa construction, 12-fret koa fingerboard, 1-3/8" nut width, 13" scale, rope pattern top binding and rosette, "KUMALAE / GOLD AWARD / P.P.I.E. 1915 / HAWAII" decal with Hawaiian crest and banner, modern mechanical friction tuners installed in original holes (wooden friction tuners included in case), white paper "JONAH KUMALAE - HONOLULU, HAWAII" interior paper label, original neck set was very shallow so bridge has been cut down and strings now tie through holes in bridge, bridgeplate and braces added to support very thin original construction, string height above body is very low and only strumming is presently possible (saddle could be raised to make action higher, very low at this point), on consignment, with end loading OSSC (leather closure strap is broken)
