Made in Nokomis, Fl., 1998, labeled as a copy of Strad's 1704 Betts violin, two piece back of flamed maple, amber-red-orange varnish, one of Mr. Gourlay's later instruments so the workmanship is a bit on the rough side but does have a nice fairly rich voice and is easy to play, VGC+, with old shaped case suitable for shipping, on consignment
