A very nice tenor banjo from the early 20th century, this Vega Style X No.9 Tubaphone has a ~1/2" rim that’s fitted with a Tubaphone tone ring and features fancy marquetry on the bottom and tortoise plastic binding inside and out. The maple neck has backstrapping and a carved heel, and the ivoroid-bound 17-fret ebony fingerboard is decorated with fancy engraved pearl inlays.
