An impressive banjo from the early 20th century, this Vega Whyte Laydie No. 7 has a 10-15/16" rim with a Whyte Laydie tone ring and tortoise plastic binding on the inside and outside. The maple neck has a carved heel and an ebony heel cap, backstrap, and fingerboard. Beautiful appointments include fancy marquetry on the rim cap and intricate engraved pearl inlays on the fingerboard and headstock. This impressive openback banjo is in very good/excellent condition.
